Our Yoga Teachers
Heidi is Co-Director and Lead Trainer of the Ananda Palo Alto-Scotts Valley Teacher Training Programs, that offer 200 hour Yoga Teacher Certification and Meditation Teacher Certification, in compliance with Yoga Alliance.
She also developed and leads the popular program: Yoga & The 12 Steps, which weaves together the teachings of yoga and the spiritual foundation of the 12 Steps - providing concrete tools for integrating these into everyday life.
Heidi's warm and engaging teaching style allows students to relax and dive deeply into the essence of yoga and meditation and absorb the benefits of these powerful practices. She teaches weekly classes on yoga, meditation and the spiritual life and offers private sessions for individual support.

Kylie is a certified Ananda Restorative Yoga Teacher and medical intuitive energy healer with a fulltime practice in Santa Clara. She has been practicing different forms of yoga since 2004 and has now found her calling in Ananda Yoga.
She creates a safe and protective environment in her yoga classes so students can be completely present in the moment. Here they can tune into their breath, feel what happens inside and accept themselves as they are. Her experience with energy healing helps her to guide students in clearing blocked channels.
Kylie enjoys teaching a softer, slower and healing form of yoga, e.g. Gentle, Yin and Restorative. What she would like her students to take with them is a sense of connection with their Higher Selves; she believes they can find that through breathing.
Kylie is very passionate about teaching beginning students and working with them as they discover yoga. She believes yoga can change every aspect of one’s life.

Divya Love Lori Wise
Divya is an Ananda Yoga Teacher and certified Meditation Instructor. She is the founder of Wise Yoga and That Wise Life™, where she blends therapeutic yoga, meditation and life and wellness coaching to support and empower women with chronic illness and health challenges. She has a special affection and affinity for teaching seniors and the disabled.
Divya brings a unique reverence to her classes, inviting her students to accept themselves exactly as they are. She is gifted in blending yoga, pranayama, affirmation and meditation to draw each individual deeply inward to the truth of their wholeness. She continues her training in the therapeutic application of yoga with ongoing education at Ananda’s Expanding Light retreat.

Bhawani Hannah Isaacson
Bhawani is a Hatha Yoga teacher and a certified Meditation Instructor. Inspired by yoga since the age of 18, her creative, playful approach make her classes fun, as well as a relaxing and centering experience. She is passionate about restorative yoga and the healing benefits of deep relaxation. Bhawani loves to be outdoors and connect with nature. She is working toward a degree in Transpersonal Psychology.

After years of working as a Marketing professional in the Health industry, Adriana became a certified Ananda Yoga teacher who practices yoga with a therapeutic approach as a path towards physical, mental and spiritual healing.
She currently devotes her time to teaching people how make life changes to attain their fullest potential. Her uplifting and joyful teaching style, ability to help students of all levels, compassion and understanding allow her to effectively teach diverse groups in the San Francisco Bay Area such as children, seniors and individuals with challenging health conditions.
She is fluent in both in English and Spanish and can teach bilingual classes.

Suman has been a yoga practitioner for over fifteen years, and balances her love for yoga with a management career in the Tech Industry. In her classes, she draws on her passion for fitness and sharing the mind-body connection. Suman’s enthusiasm for health & fitness extends to other areas as well, having run several marathons as well as completing the AIDS/LifeCycle (ALC) bike ride, a 7-day cycling ride from San Francisco to LA. She also loves to dance and performs regularly with a small theatre troupe.
In her classes, she uses a joyful calming teaching style, integrating asana, breath work and meditation to balance mind and body.

Sharmila Barbara Hoffman
Sharmila is a certified Ananda Yoga Instructor, who has been practicing yoga for the last several years.
She has a private practice as a Marriage and Family Therapist in Palo Alto, where she works with adult individuals and couples to change negative and destructive thinking and habits and to reduce or eliminate anxiety, stress and depression.
She teaches beginning yoga, as well as offering yoga and meditation to people suffering from stress and anxiety who would like to find greater peace, balance and joy in their lives.

Natalie is an environmental educator serving the San Francisco Midpeninsula. Engaging people of all ages in the stewardship of trees and the urban forest is a passion. And so is sharing the healing benefits of yoga. She has found that yoga is a practice of returning again and again to her inner strength and wisdom within. Natalie brings vibrant energy and calm awareness to the postures, helping you become stronger and more resilient through your practice.
A long-time practitioner of yoga postures, Karen enjoys helping students to discover the peace, energy and joy within them that can be experienced through Ananda yoga.
Using the scientific wisdom of yoga and its countless health benefits, Karen’s classes begin with postures that help to release physical and energetic blockages in the body.
From there we enter into a mind-body healing cycle as the relaxation response begins to flow.
Finally we learn how to direct our freed-up energy, through our practice, toward our highest levels of functioning and awareness.
Karen’s classes strengthen and support body, mind and spirit, and students leave feeling rejuvenated and relaxed.
